Current Volunteer Opportunities
We have many volunteer opportunities available at Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control
One of the most important acts of volunteering you can do is fostering an animal. We are always in need of foster homes – visit our foster page here.
Interested in volunteering but not sure exactly what you would like to do? We would love to have you help in any way! Please email Charlie at cpropsom
Featured Volunteer Opportunity —
Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is looking for a volunteer to be our Medical Coordinator for our rescue! We’re looking for someone who has a veterinary background of some kind and has worked in rescue. This person would be the primary go-to for all fosters to troubleshoot potential medical situations in the home, know when a vet visit is needed, as well as, approve all vet visits between fosters and vet clinics. This is rescue, so it’s pretty much a 24/7 volunteer role, but you will have support and a back-up if/when needed. We foster anywhere from 50-100 animals at any given time, so patience and initiative are definitely required. We spare no expense for the animals in our care. Every foster dog or cat is treated as if they were our own. Please email Kat at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to learn more!
