Chicago Animal Care & Control shelter
The City shelter at 28th and Western takes in approximately 23,000 animals each year and they desperately need your help. Please consider adopting an animal there or volunteering your time to walk dogs and socialize cats.Phone: 312-747-1406 (recorded message)
Adoption hours: Monday - Friday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. & 4:00 to 7:00 p.m
Lost pet tours & redemption: 12:15, to 6:15 p.m. (no tour at 3:15 p.m.) daily including Saturday and Sunday after 6:15
